Winter Wonderland

Merry Christmas!!

Sooo Christmas is pretty much over but I still feel a bit festive so here's some pictures from Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland that I visited with Sara before heading to Finland :')

I really loved it there, just walking around and admiring the games and food they had to offer! Thankfully I ate before going there, otherwise I would have ended up spending waaay too much money there! Everything looked so delicious <3  >_<

Hopefully you all had a great Christmas and your wishes came true!
See ya next time!! xx

One Direction - Where We Are Book Signing

Warning! This post might suddenly turn into uncontrollable shouting and crying 'cos I literally have no chill at the moment.

So yeah, on Monday I got tickets to 1D's book signing! I was on the ticketmaster web page the minute the tickets came to sale but it already said that there were no tickets available. Because I was bored and had nothing else to do I kept selecting the tickets because it never said the event was sold out. Doesn't hurt to try, right? Well I kept refreshing the page well over 20 times until it actually showed that I had one ticket selected???!!!! I almost fell off the chair and thought it was some kind of sick joke BUT IT WASN'T AND ON WEDNESDAY EVENING I WAS ON MY WAY TO MEET ONE DIRECTION!

When I arrived to the venue (Secret Location yooo!) I got handed the copy of their book, Where We Are, and then the queueing began! I queued approximately for two hours but at least I had a book to read while I was at it! And the place where we had to wait was decorated with Christmas lights and Midnight Memories was on reply so the time went pretty quickly :')

resized

I was pretty chill about the whole thing while queuing but as I was getting closer and closer to upstairs where the signing was happening I started to freak out. And when I got to the upstairs, room next to where the boys were in, I seriously started to freak out and didn't know if I should sit down and start crying. Thankfully I did neither of those and kept my cool. And then it was time!!!

The boys didn't really have much time for one fan since there was approximately 700 of us and if they actually took pictures and hang out with the fans I would still be queuing there (idk when I'm gonna publish this post so this gets funnier the older this post gets)..

I had thought some of the things I wanted to tell them when I met them but not so surprisingly I forgot all of those things...

First was Zayn! I was dazzled by how gorgeous he is. If you have seen Night Changes video I can tell you; it was like the whole date thing was happening right in front of me but it was million times better because no one ended up with pasta on their head. He was so amazing! I didn't really know what to say so I just said Hi and he said "Hi, you alright?" and I think I just nodded and then he signed my book and then he looked at my hand and said "Nice rings. Those are sick!" YOU KNOW THE WAY ZAYN IS ALWAYS LIKE 'SICK' AND ALL THAT AND I GOT MY OWN SHARE OF IT AND IT HIT ME SO HARD THAT THIS PERSON IS SO REAL AND SO NICE AND A LITERAL SUNSHINE! And then I mumbled thanks and my mind was so blank I couldn't believe my life.
god or zayn? most people get this wrong
Then was Niall! My head was still spinning because of Zayn so all I could say to Niall was Hi, and then was Louis and I still didn't have my act together so I just said Hi. Which made mom angry later when I called her; I had promised that I would say hi from her because Louis is her favourite, but I didn't and I felt a bit bad afterwards. Mom was like 'They were so wonderful you forgot you had a mother?' Seems like that, yeah. Sorry about that.
(I sent her pictures later and she felt a bit better then so I think we're good now)
Nialler Lewis
When it was Liam's turn I started to ease up a bit! He had drawn a picture of Harry Potter on the table and was talking about that so I just admired his work while he was signing my book. It actually looked pretty good the longer I stared at it :')
Leeyum and Pottah

Now this gets interesting and I seriously have no control at this point so please don't read this if you have been rolling your eyes this whole time and thinking that I'm a complete idiot

HARRY FRIGGING STYLES! After Liam signed my book and I saw Harry in the corner of my eye I thought that I will never forgive myself if all I say to Harry is Hi because I've been waiting for this moment for so long. I planned that I would tell him a funny joke and I had one on my mind already and I got just enough courage that I could just throw it out there. And I was so ready and so prepared and then I turned to him and said "Hi! You alright?!" (great start right?!!!) THEN HE LOOKED AT ME STRAIGHT INTO MY EYES AND REPLIED "Hii, I'm good. How are you?" STILL STARING INTO MY EYES. OH YEAH I'M PERFECT YOU JUST MADE MY LIFE COMPLETE. Did I tell the joke? No. I can't even remember what I answered him, hopefully I told him I was good... Aaaanyways, put this photo in my grave:
IMG_4360
LOOK AT HIS PRECIOUS FACE AND HIS SHINY ROUND EYES AND HIS MAGNIFICENT HAIR I'M SERIOUSLY SO DONE WITH LIFE HOW CAN A PERSON BE THAT ADORABLE!!!!!! *cries uncontrollably*

So yeah, that happened! It didn't last long but it was a pretty big deal to me and I never thought I would get the chance to meet them because they are 'quite' famous and all that.
+It was even better than I imagined because I have had this dream that when I meet Harry he has his hair tied up in a cute bun AND HE ACTUALLY DID! AND AT THE START OF THE SIGNING HE HAD HIS HAIR DOWN! IT WAS DESTINY THAT HE TIED UP HIS HAIR BEFORE I MET HIM DON'T EVEN TRY TO TELL ME OTHERWISE!
Me precious

See, I told you I would venture out for my next post! :) But this was actually one of the biggest plot twists in my life. Now I'm taking rest of the year off of fangirling to save some energy for next year because there's a lots of concerts (+1 M&G, and I'm crying already) to attend to!

Next week I'm off to Finland and once I'm reunited with my PS3 I don't think I have time to make new posts any time soon so I'm trying to publish some Christmasy posts before that!
So stay tuned!

Have a wonderful Christmas time!
See ya!!

Little Things

Hi!

It's been a while since my last post, sorry about that. But it's a good thing in a way... Before moving to London I didn't do much, just stayed at home playing, reading, scrolling in the depths of internet so there wasn't much to tell. And now for the past few weeks that's pretty much all I've been doing here. That might sound really boring but the truth is that I enjoy staying at home and do absolutely nothing productive (you did not just hear a university student say that!).

So in order to avoid going outside I'll give you a glimpse of my room!
The room was obviously ready furnished so in order to make it feel like home I had to decorate (=throw stuff around and make a huge mess) it with things that are important to me.

These 10 things I need to make home:

1. Lucky Cat
Luckkyyy
I bought it from Little Tokyo in LA in 2013 and it has been waving it's paw in my room ever since! The cat is believed to bring wealth and prosperity for it's owner so that kinda sums up why I hold that ticking bastard so close to my heart.

2. Posters
postersresized
I have decorated my room with posters basically my whole life and I can't seem to be able to change this habit. I've tried to stop buying posters but I found this amazing 5 Seconds of Summer poster from HMV that I just had to buy, it's like made for that wall! (Fun Fact: I wrote this before I bought that 1D poster, things are getting out of hand) The oldest poster I still have is a picture of Corey Taylor. It's been on my wall for a couple of years now and I've grown really fond of it so I couldn't leave it to Finland.

3. Calendar
Johnlock

I have obsession with wall calendars and I use a lot of time thinking what calendar I'll be buying next year. It's really satisfying to cross the date when the day is over. You could say it helps me keep up to date..!

4. Manga
Mangaresized
Okay so I've been into Japanese comics since I was a kid and I have a huuuuge collection back home so there's no way I could have taken them with me here so I just order new ones from Amazon! I usually take one to read on the tube or train when I'm going somewhere, it's a great way to pass time.

5. Post Cards
cardsresized
I had this habit in Finland to put postcards on my windowsill and here I pin them on the board! My friend, who lives in France at the moment, sends me really pretty cards and mom sends me lovely Moomin cards with adorable and motivational quotes. The blue Moomin card freely translates to "If the the direction is right you just have to keep on going." And when I got that card I was in tears and like, wow mom this is amazing well done you! London feels like the right direction and there's no way I'm turning back.

6. Games
I MISS MY PLAY STATION 3 SO BAD IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY! And I don't really call Candy Crush a game so it doesn't help this gaming fever at all. That's why I brought my 3DS and PSP with me. Haven't really played much though... Nothing can replace my PS3 and it pains me to think how much time I would actually have to play here 'cos the days at uni are not that long.

7. Eddy-Bear
Edbb
I have a bunch of soft toys in Finland, I wish I could have taken them all with me but I thought that clothes are more important (how stupid of me). But I couldn't leave Eddy-Bear because he's the one that I hold when going to sleep.

8. Salmiakki chewing gum
gumresized
Okay this is not actually an item but I need to include this. I use a lot of chewing gum and my favourite flavour happens to be salmiakki (Finnish sweet, kinda like salty liquorice) and I can't get it from London so I just packed three packages with me to get through until Christmas.

9. Radio
I can't sleep if I don't have radio open. I can't fall asleep in a complete silence, I love waking up in the middle of the night when my favourite songs come on the radio and I like waking up to news to know what's happening in the world at the moment. I had to buy new radio when I got here but it's small and only cost £10 so yay!!!

10. Laptop
Oh, this has to be the most cliched one. Obviously I need my laptop, it's essential but I just wanted to include it because it means the world to me. I need it to do my school work, use the internet, watch movies, listen to music and to breathe (too much?)

So there's the things I need to make myself feel like home (excluding PS3)! :)
I hope this post wasn't boring because it didn't include running on the streets of London but I promise you I'll go outside for the next post!

There's a comment box for a reason so do tell what you think of this post or my blog in general. And I would love to hear what items are important to you, so feel free to share!

See you next time!!! :)

Something Great

Hey everyone! :)

Last week was filled with fandom stuff and I think my heart is about to explode!
As much as I love having new and exciting things happening to me, it's still a lot to take when they all come at once. I need some time to process one thing and then get excited of another one. Maybe sharing all this amazing stuff with you guys will help me control my feelings for a while!
I know there's going to be things that some of you like and some of you hate but please be nice, these things mean a lot to me!

Where We Are - Where I Was
(not actually about last week but I couldn't come up with any good reason not to include this...)

WWA_selfie

On Saturday I got to relive one of the craziest concerts of my life on the big screen (like literally it was gigantic!!): Sara and I went to see One Direction's concert film to Empire Cinema on Leicester Square! The concert was filmed in Milan's San Siro Stadium on June 28th and 29th, which was lucky-lucky for me because I actually went to see them there! The whole film was a wild ride from start to finish and half of the time I was just swallowing my tears because all the emotions I felt at the concert came back to me.

You can't obviously take pictures in the cinema but because photos are nice you can have my favourite pics that I took myself during the concert!! :3
do you read these??? hover over hover over!!!

this is my fave picture, I have this everywhere
narry fist bump

I'm not going to write a proper review of this but just a few thoughts..

  • I was disappointed that they didn't include all the songs in the film, I was looking forward to hearing Better Than Words again but it never came (yes, you heard me, don't except any Niall's hip thrusting this time)
  • Twitter questions were also excluded
  • Despite everything that I just said I'll be watching this on Blu-Ray over and over again
  • But it was still good
  • The boys are amazing
  • I liked it as a One Direction concert film but I would have liked it more if I didn't have a live concert to compare it to
  • If you love concert films and you love One Direction, you'll love WWA Concert Film!

Ed Sheeran @o2 Arena

o2 is magnificent

On Monday I headed straight from school to London's o2 Arena to see this red-headed singer. I only queued for two hours before the doors opened but still got a pretty good place to stand! Ed turned out to be even better singer live and also even cuter than in the pictures :3 He sang mostly all of my favourite songs and even surprised me with The City, the song that I had on repeat when I moved to London. I'm still quite starstruck from this concert so I can't find the right words so have some pics and videos instead :)

woop woop hell yeah
there goes all the fucks i give

It Was Way Past My Bed Time

On Friday night we were adventuring around West End with Sara and while we were walking towards the Piccadilly Circus I noticed this curly haired girl talking with a bunch of people. My first thought was "oh my god", second thought was "OH MY GOD" and the third one was "THAT'S CARRIE OH MY GOD". She's one of my favourite Youtubers and she's currently acting in West End's Les Misérables. Her Youtube channel is ItsWayPastMyBedTime so if you enjoy watching vlogs and such you should check her out :)

This picture will go down in history because for once my selfie game was strong in the right place at the right time

Fury Sunday

Yesterday was the closing night of BFI London Film Festival and it was celebrated with the premier of Brad Pitt's upcoming movie, Fury. Luckily the sun was shining and it was pretty warm to spend the whole day outside!!
Me and Sara weren't as dedicated to queuing as some people so we didn't get the best possible view but still got a glimpse of some of the stars. Of course I was blessed to have this two-meter-long tree-man in front of me to block the view. Got some pretty nice pictures of his back and hair on my phone... But fortunately that tree-man turned out to be really nice and offered to take a couple of pictures using my phone! :)
Most of the time I just reached as high as I could, snapped a picture or two and hoped for the best but I don't really care BECAUSE I SAW BRAD PITT AND LOGAN LERMAN AND SHIA LABEOUF

And this is the only picture worth posting because the rest of the pictures are just so blurry they make me cry blood :<
oh Brad Pitt hey hey hey !!!!

So as you can see I have had a lot to process lately but now it's time to concentrate on school work and take a deep breath!

This post might've been quite long, was it exhausting to read? Should I avoid making these big posts in the future? Please let me know what you think :) And also if there's been something exciting in your life lately, share it in the comments and we can celebrate together!! :) <3

See ya next time!!!

PS: I still haven't figured out this picture size thing. I'm getting there.. Sorry if the sizes annoy you :(

Little Party Never Killed Nobody

"A little party never killed nobody

So we gon’ dance until we drop, drop

A little party never killed nobody

Right here, right now’s all we got"

What could possibly make Wednesday better than a party? Two parties of course!

Welcome Party at the Student Halls

To welcome all the new residents to the student halls there was a party in the common room! I went to check the party out with my roommate, Faye. We didn't stay too late, but long enough to enjoy free beer and Domino's pizza! And that's just enough for me to get the party started!!!

image

After getting enough pizza and beer it was time to head to the next party!

Party @ Your Mom's House

IMG_3120 image

This party was at our university's bar/club/cafe. There were parties everyday for two weeks but this was the only one I attended to (might have had something to do with those red cups, who knows!).
image

I'm not much of a club person but we ended up having so much fun with Sara that we drank and danced until 3am. The music was absolutely amazing and I just went crazy on the dance floor! I don't usually like to dance in clubs but I think the London brings out the worst in me.
image

The next morning was absolutely brilliant! :) I didn't get sleep until 4am and had to get up at 10am to get ready for school. And on top of that I felt really hungover after ???? bottles of beer. (Neither of us counted the amount of beers we bought, I guess that'll remain as a mystery)

A little party never killed nobody but the hangover next morning makes you wish it did.

Moral of the story; don't drink on school nights!
Have a great and safe weekend, everyone!! <3

+ My cousin helped me to upload larger photos in my posts so maybe the pics make more sense now :') and I'll make new header ASAP to get it fit to my blog better so bare with me, this blog keeps getting better!!

Psst! These posts are so late it's embarrassing. It's been two weeks since this party so I'll promise the next post will be about this week!

I see fire you in the next post! ;)

Weekend with New Friends

Hello!

I've now been in London for two weeks and this fortnight has been filled with exciting stuff! Thankfully I didn't have to experience everything alone because I already made friends with two amazing girls that I love spending time with <3
Here's how my first weekend in London went! :)

Oxford Street Shopping

On Thursday we had school only for an hour and we were served a delicious lunch! :3

After getting my tummy full of sandwiches, fruits and heavenly lemon cake I headed to Oxford Street with my classmate Sara. She's from Finland too and we hit it off really fast! I feel so lucky to have made good friends with someone so quickly, on the very first week!!! (^_^)

Oxford Street is absolutely my favourite place to shop in London and whatever I'm after I always start my search from there. This time I didn't shop too much, only the "essentials" such as Matte Basecoat nailpolish and One Direction's You and I fragrance. I usually get really uncomfortable in big H&M's but I still managed to find that nice hoodie/shirt thingy. From Primark I found a nice scarf to keep me warm when the weather is getting colder! :3

Platform 9 3/4 and Honest Burgers

On Friday me and my roommate, Faye, went to King's Cross station. More specifically to Platform 9 3/4! I know what you're thinking and the answer is no, I'm unfortunately not studying in Hogwarts. But you get to experience the feeling that all those lucky wizards and witches get when running against the wall to catch the train. Also the coolest thing ever is that they give you a house scarf to wear in the pictures and you can actually choose which house you want to wear! And then there's this dude holding the scarf up so it looks that you're actually running through the wall (which looks soooo real in this picture with me posing and all..)

All this wizard hype made us hungry and Faye happened to know a burger restaurant nearby. The place is called Honest Burgers and honestly, the burger was the best one I've ever eaten.

This was the first time that I could actually eat everything on my plate when ordering a burger in a restaurant! Reasonable portions are usually so hard to get! The burger was so delicious and the fries were flavoured with salt and some other ingredient (I'm sorry I don't know what it was, but trust me, it was good!) If you love yourself a good burger, you have to go eat in that place when visiting London!!!

So that was my first weekend in London! Pretty great, right?! :)

For the next post take out your party hats and red cups 'cos it'll be all about partying! Subscribe so you don't miss all the fun :p

First Week of Uni

Hello!

Can't wait for you to hear all this cool stuff I've had going on in London Met! There hasn't been actual teaching yet but this Introduction Week has offered a lot of activities (and food) for new students and I've been trying my best to enjoy it all! My favourite days were Tuesday and Wednesday so I'll be focusing on them in this post!!

Tuesday - Treasure Hunt

Our mission in treasure hunt was to find our way to The Calcutta House where some of the teaching happens sometimes. We were also given about 30 questions about our school building and the landmarks nearby.
This treasure hunt gave a great opportunity to adore the local area! London Met is in the heart of the city and the cool and reeeaaally tall buildings, including my personal favourite, The Pickle, are all near my school! :3

When we had found all the answers to the questions given we headed inside the Calcutta House where we were offered foods and drinks while waiting for the results of the hunt. The food looked and tasted delicious. I'm crazy about the lemon cake they make here! It's so lemony! :'p <3
Oh you wanna know who won? My team of course! ;) We all got £20 vouchers to Amazon!! (^_^)

Wednesday - Cruise on Thames

This school day was mostly about this two-hour cruise and thankfully we were blessed with beautiful day with sunshine! :) Our cruise started right from the London Bridge and because the boat was so tall they had to lift the bridge for us!
I spent most of the cruise enjoying the weather and the view although it got a bit windy and cold towards the end.

It still feels so surreal to think that I'm living in London and getting the opportunity to study in this amazing school surrounded by wonderful people. If this is a dream, never let me wake up :') <3

But it's back to serious business on Monday when the actual teaching starts!
Enjoy your weekend and hopefully I'll see ya in the next post! :)
